1. Education Services - The world of education is rapidly changing. Society is looking for bold and innovative approaches to curriculum design and teaching. Students, parents, teachers, school boards, employers and state and federal governments are asking schools to be more responsive to the real world environment. School to Work, State Learning Standards, CDEP and CSRD efforts are all examples of these changes.
Leading EDGE provides consulting services and a variety of workshops using the latest in educational models to make connections between the classroom, community outcomes and state learning standards.
The heart of the Leading EDGE educational programs is the Education By DesignTM (EBD) classroom model. The EBD classroom model is a comprehensive teaching methodology that is centered in experiential and collaborative learning and taught in six-day institutes. EBD is a program of Antioch New England Graduate School. Leading EDGE is proud to be the exclusive provider of EBD programming in New York State.

2. Corporate, Government Agencies & Non-Government Organizations - The world is demanding new skills for new environments. Leading EDGE specializes in developing skills for high quality collaborative problem-solving teams. Likewise, situational leadership development, team-building, decision-making strategies, critical thinking, creative thinking, organization and communication are major components of our corporate development model.

In addition, Leading EDGE designs and facilitates meetings allowing organizations to accomplish specific tasks and minimize wasted time.

3. Wilderness Education Services -Leading EDGE offers a variety of wilderness consulting services to meet a range of needs. We work with college outdoor programs, outing clubs, Americorps & Student Conservation Association groups, summer camps, school groups, youth at risk programs and others in training, program design and planning and curriculum development. We also have a variety of entertaining travelogues of our international adventures.

Meeting facilitation and custom designed learning experiences are our specialty. Unique Qualities:

Origins:

In 1984 Bruce Bonney was a student of Jack Drury's on a thirty-three day wilderness leadership expedition. Jack became a mentor of Bruce's a role that was to switch when Jack took an Education By DesignTM Institute in 1992. In between they collaborated on writing and educational projects in a variety of settings. Their experiences eventually led to their development of a training/teaching model that allows the power of the outdoors to be brought into the classroom. In recent years they have worked together to develop education administrator leadership training programs and corporate development programs. Since 2000 they have played a leadership role with Antioch New England Graduate School of Keene, NH and Network Educational Press of Stafford, England to bring Education By DesignTM Institutes to the teachers of England and Scotland.
